THERAPY SERVICES & APPROACHES
Work with me 1:1 in a confidential, remote space. Therapy services are LGBTQ+ affirming and trauma informed. My approach is psychodynamic and highly relational. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based/somatic theories to guide sessions. I also enjoy integrating expressive art interventions in session, only as desired by the client.
More info on ACT here and here; info on IFS here. Always feel free to ask about approaches and modalities in a consultation.

Payment is completed through the confidential and secure platform of SimplePractice. Payment can be made by credit, debit, HSA or FSA cards. Payments can be set to automatic, or can be manually completed. Payments are required to be made within 5 days of the initial assessment, and within 10 days of individual sessions. If payment becomes a problem, feel free to bring it up with Rachael in session or through confidential communication through SimplePractice.

Scheduling and appointment reminders are taken care of through SimplePractice, so this is the place you can go to cancel or reschedule as needed!
Please give Rachael a heads up if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, we can still have the appointment, although you will required to pay the full price for session. If you are 15 minutes late with no heads up, the session will be counted as a no-show and the fee of the session will be charged.
However, I know: things happen! Life is messy! If you are communicative and we are able to find a time within 5 days of the missed appointment to reschedule, the fee will be waived. This is highly dependent on Rachael’s availability, however, so it may not always be an option.
Also, everyone gets one freebie per calendar year — if you accidentally sleep in, mess up appointment times, etc, you’ll have the fee waived that time. -
It is my upmost responsibility in protecting your safety and privacy. This is why I use a confidential electronic health record and log in from a confidential office. Because it is a virtual space, you also have the responsibility to protect your confidentiality— be mindful about how the space you’re in affects how much you are willing to share in session. Of course, life is messy, and the upmost comfortable or confidential space is not always an option— but I encourage clients to support themselves through emphasizing privacy and comfort during their virtual therapy experience.
